ORIGINAL PAINTINGS
inspired by the Outer Hebrides
A new collection of oil paintings inspired by my week spent exploring the coastlines of the Outer Hebrides during an art and sailing residency Muir is Tir (Land & Sea) in July 2023. We spent the week at sea, far from human civilisation, exploring remote sea-lochs and coastlines of Lewis and Harris as well as the uninhabited Shiant Isles. These paintings have been created using the sketches, drawings and paintings that I completed during the residency, as well as from my own memories of the trip.
